Membership

Growing OBG to include new members is very important to the organization. We are here for golfers of all ages, and it is all about helping blind persons enjoy the benefits and joys of golf.

OBG offers and promotes many opportunities to play. In a typical year our events start in early Spring and the Fall including London, Kitchener, Cambridge, Hamilton, Port Perry and the GTA. August 9-11, 2024 the three-day Provincial Blind Golf Championships are being hosted at Mapleview Golf & Country Club in beautiful Perth, Ontario.

OBG is a charity, and we subsidize all events, including the three-day Provincial Championship allowing for approved travel and overnight accommodations where appropriate. Each year the Board of Directors sets a nominal registration fee for members and associate members. In 2024 that is $75. Members pay a flat $25 fee for the daily events and Coaches play for free with golf cart rental included. In some cases Coaches choose to not play. The only time a Coach can not play alongside the members is usually during the competitive rounds/final day(s) of the Ontario or Canadian championships.

If you wish to join OBG as a New Member or New Associate Member please contact our Membership Coordinators Deanna Morgan or Brian Morgan.

There are 2 documents you are required to complete. A membership application, one for returning members and another for new members, and a sight classification form.

While our fee structure has stayed the same, some changes have been made to the membership form to help facilitate the Blind Golf Canada membership portion.
