At OBG, we believe that blind golf is a sport for everyone, and we are committed to creating equal opportunities for women and girls of all ages to participate, excel, and introduce this incredible sport to future generations. Our mission is to empower and inspire female blind golfers by providing them with the resources, support, and visibility they need to succeed on and off the golf course.
OBG are dedicated to breaking down gender barriers and fostering an inclusive environment where all athletes, regardless of gender, can thrive and reach their full potential. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to celebrate the achievements of female blind golfers, promote their stories, and encourage more women and girls to join this wonderful sport.
OBG, with the help of our Board and volunteers, aims to:
- Develop and promote a mentorship program that connects aspiring female blind golfers with experienced players who can offer guidance, support, and inspiration
- Organize women-only blind golf clinics and workshops, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for female players to learn and refine their skills
- Collaborate with schools and community organizations to introduce blind golf to young girls, fostering a passion for the sport from an early age
- Host recreational and competitive women’s division, showcasing the talents of female players and encouraging friendly competition
- Partner with media outlets and influencers to increase visibility and awareness of female blind golfers and their achievements, inspiring more women to get involved
- Develop an avenue for female blind golfers to connect, share experiences, and offer support to one another, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie
- Create an ambassador program that enables female blind golfers to represent our charity, share their stories, and inspire others to join the sport
- Collaborate with other organizations dedicated to promoting women in sports, expanding the reach and impact of the charity’s efforts to increase female membership in blind golf
