Growing OBG to include new members is very important to the organization. We are here for golfers of all ages, and it is all about helping blind persons enjoy the benefits and joys of golf.
OBG offers and promotes many opportunities to play. In a typical year our events start in early Spring and the Fall including London, Kitchener, Guelph, Cambridge, Hamilton, Perth, Toronto/GTA, and Simcoe. August 8-9, 2026 a two-day Provincial Blind Golf Championships will be hosted at The Greens at Renton in beautiful Simcoe, Ontario.
OBG is a charity, and we subsidize all events, including the two-day Provincial Championship allowing for approved travel and overnight accommodations where appropriate. Each year the Board of Directors sets a nominal registration fee for members and associate members. In 2026 that is $75. Members pay a flat $30 fee for the cart/daily events and Guides play for free with golf cart rental included. In some cases Guides prefer not to play. The only time a Guide cannot play alongside the members is usually during the competitive rounds/final day(s) of the Ontario or Canadian championships.
OBG is here to help as much as it can. That is what we do, but please consider the following:
- You will be responsible for your own golf clubs, but if you don’t have any you can typically rent them at the course
- Ensure you have a ride to and from the golf course
- You must have a guide or family member that can drive the cart, and support you on the course
If you wish to join OBG as a New Member or New Associate Member please contact our Membership Coordinators Deanna Morgan or Brian Morgan.
There are 2 documents you are required to complete. A Membership Application, one for returning members and another for new members, and a Sight Classification form.
